Watch the video for Covet’s enchanting new single, lovespell
Ahead of the release of new album catharsis next month, Covet have shared the record’s “smitten” closing song, lovespell.
Covet have just shared the closing song on their upcoming third album catharsis.
The trio’s enchanting new single lovespell is a “tribute” to “that feeling of being totally smitten by the joy of creating and feeling things deeply” according to Yvette Young. “It was important to me to leave everyone on a high note,” Yvette continues of why lovespell closes the record, “in this case, a saxophone solo provided by the amazing Alex Rose from Minus the Bear.”
catharsis will arrive in full on April 7 via Triple Crown. Yvette has previously stated that Covet “did a lot of risk-taking” on the album, and that, “The whole concept is escaping into a fantasy realm where the songs depict different characters and their own worlds. Each song is like their theme song.”
