Listen: Green Day unearth awesome 1998 performance of Hitchin' A Ride

Green Day are continuing to share songs from their upcoming BBC Live Sessions album.

And this week the Oakland titans have sort of gone for a Thanksgiving theme, dropping a 1998 performance of Hitchin' A Ride because 'cold turkey's getting stale'. Boom!

Elsewhere on the BBC Live Sessions LP, the 1998 segment is rounded out by Nice Guys Finish Last, Prosthetic Head and Redundant. Before that, Green Day head back to Dookie times (and earlier) with 1994 recordings of She, When I Come Around, Basket Case and 2000 Light Years Away.

Then it goes to 1996 performances of Geek Stink Breath, Brain Stew/Jaded, Walking Contradiction and Stuck With Me, and finally the 2001 collection is compromised of Castaway, Church On Sunday, Minority and Waiting. Excellent stuff.
