It Looks Like Puscifer Are Teasing A New Album
Maynard James Keenan's Puscifer seem to be eyeing up a 2020 release…
After revealing back in January that they had just one more song to finish tracking on their new album, it looks like Maynard James Keenan’s Puscifer could be gearing up to release this record sometime soon.
Taking to Instagram to tease a snippet of new material, the band wrote, "Doin stuff. More details to follow this weekend." The post was followed up by the same sounds, but the caption, "Round two of teasing." Both were accompanied by the hashtags ‘puscifer2020’ and ‘soon’, suggesting that the follow-up to 2015's Money Shot album could be arriving imminently.

Of course, frontman Maynard has been incredibly busy of late, releasing Tool's 5K-rated Fear Inoculum album last year, and A Perfect Circle's stunning Eat The Elephant in 2018. When asked by Kerrang! in 2016 how he juggles his many projects – also including wine-making – the frontman joked, “Coffee.”
“The trick is that I’m not doing it all,” he added. “If I was some kind of egomaniac and tried to do it all I would fail. You have to be ok with trusting other people around you to carry the weight and load and share the credit… You need the right people around you.”

As well as Puscifer, there's a possibility that new Tool material could surface soon, with Danny Carey revealing that he, Adam Jones and Justin Chancellor are hoping to work on an EP during coronavirus lockdown.
“I’m hoping, during this downtime, as soon as we’re able, maybe we’ll get together – Justin and I, and Adam,” he told Music Radar. “Maybe start hashing out some new Tool stuff in the meantime, maybe write another EP since we’re down and we can’t do anything else. I’m just kind of waiting on that, you know, waiting around but that’s all I’ve really got going on, you know?”
