In Hearts Wake part ways with Kyle Erich, release new single Farewell
Listen to In Hearts Wake’s new single Farewell, which is the band’s final release with bassist and vocalist Kyle Erich.
In Hearts Wake have just announced that their longtime bassist and vocalist Kyle Erich will be leaving the band in order to “focus on his family and other parts of his life”.
The Byron Bay crew have shared the news alongside Kyle’s final single with them, which goes by the very apt name Farewell, and was unsurprisingly “a very difficult song to write” for him.
IHW have also confirmed that Kyle will be saying goodbye in-person at some Aussie shows this September, heading to Newcastle, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth for a proper send-off with fans.
A statement from the remaining members of the band reads: “We adore Kyle and appreciate every contribution he’s made to our band and our lives. 12 years of laughs, gigs and singalongs. He’s an amazing person and we will miss having him around as In Hearts Wake continues to forge ahead.
“While we were saddened and heart broken by the news at first, we all knew that what was right for Kyle was right for us. We all support his decision and can’t wait to celebrate him and bring closure to his journey with the band.
“We will have more In Hearts Wake news in a couple of weeks, but for now let’s celebrate our man Kyle Erich and all the amazing moments we've had together.”
