Green Day are continuing to tease new music
Green Day have shared another teaser pointing to new music – and once again it includes the year 1972. Hmm…
Right before Christmas, Green Day seemed to confirm that they'd soon be releasing new music that had been recorded in London – and over the weekend the band continued to tease this material.
Following last month's video showing footage from their time spent at RAK Studios in the capital, the trio have shared a new video featuring what is likely more footage from that trip, soundtracked by their own original audio. Underneath the London video is frontman Billie Joe Armstrong strumming an acoustic guitar, before both clips end and the year 1972 pops up (which was also in their December teaser, and is when all three members of the band were born – so what does it mean?!).
Check it out below:
Last month, Green Day released their absolutely excellent BBC Sessions live album, which writer Ian Winwood called a "collection of impossibly fluent songs delivered in momentary fashion by one of America’s great bands" in his 4/5 review.
