Gojira’s Olympics performance was projected onto the Arc de Triomphe as part of the Champions Parade

With Paris hosting one final Olympics party over the weekend, you can see Gojira’s amazing performance of Ah! Ça Ira with Marina Viotti projected onto the Arc de Triomphe…

Gojira are out on the road in North America with Korn and Spiritbox right now, but the French metal heroes still found a way to (sort of) get involved with their home country’s final Olympic Games celebration this weekend…

Of course, Joe Duplantier and co. were there in Paris for the opening ceremony in July, becoming the first metal band ever to play the occasion alongside opera singer Marina Viotti. But with touring duties the priority this time around, on Saturday night (September 14) for the Champions Parade along the Champs-Élysées, that aforementioned incredible summer performance of Ah! Ça Ira was projected onto the Arc de Triomphe behind Marina – who was there to sing the collab in-person.

Unsurprisingly, this already-killer show looked just as impressive when displayed on one of the city’s most famous monuments. Check it out below:

Speaking to Rolling Stone back in July about the Olympics performance, Joe said, “It’s a bit unreal. It’s been in the works for months. Ever since we were contacted by the Olympic Committee and the composer, Victor le Masne, I wasn’t sure what was going to happen just because it sounded completely unreal. The amount of people that would see us live kind of eclipsed the moment. I wasn’t thinking about what it was going to be because it was just too mind-bending to think about. So the reality of the moment was absolutely mind-blowing from where we were, up there at the Conciergerie and the view we had of the scenery and all the Olympic teams, passing by on boats. It was pretty surreal.”
