Foo Fighters Continue To Tease New Music – Listen Now
Good news, everyone! There are drums on the new Foo Fighters album...
As we reported yesterday, mysterious Foo Fighters signs have started appearing around Los Angeles. The logo, accompanied by an X, is teasing something, widely believed to be the band’s delayed 10th album.
Now the band have taken to Twitter to share an extra morsel of intrigue. Two tweeted video clips, posted with the tag #LPX appeared last night. What they confirm is that, yes, the new album will have drums, which is a start.
The album was meant to have been released earlier this year, with a ‘Van Tour’ that took in the routing of the band’s first U.S. jaunt. Obviously, this hasn’t been able to happen, with the usually undefeatable Dave Grohl apologising to fans…
“Hi, this is Dave.
Remember me? The guy who wouldn't even postpone a show when my goddamn leg was falling off?
Well… playing a gig with a sock full of broken bones is one thing, but playing a show when your health and safety is in jeopardy is another…
We fuckin' love you guys. So let's do this right and rain check shit. The album is done, and it's fuckin' killer. The lights and stage are in the trucks, ready to go. The second we are given the go-ahead, we'll come tear shit up like we always do. Promise.
Now go wash your hands.”
Speaking to Kerrang! earlier this year about the follow-up to Concrete And Gold, Dave was rather excited about it.
“I’m fucking excited for people to hear it and I can’t wait to jump on that fucking stage to play it,” the frontman told us. “There are choruses on this record that 50-fucking-thousand people are gonna sing, and it’s gonna bring everyone’s fucking hearts together in that moment. And that’s what it’s all about.”
