Dolly Parton unveils first-ever rock album with huge, star-studded tracklist
Dolly Parton has announced details of her 30-song album Rockstar, featuring some of the “greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time”.
Country legend and Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Dolly Parton has announced details of her first-ever rock album.
Entitled Rockstar, the 30-song release is comprised of 21 covers and nine originals, with lead single World On Fire (which Dolly promises “speaks about everything and to everyone this day and time”) dropping on May 11. Meanwhile, the album as a whole is coming out on November 17 via Butterfly Records.
“I’m so excited to finally present my first rock’n’roll album Rockstar!” announces Dolly. “I am very honoured and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time and to be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure. I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I’ve enjoyed putting it together!”
