Chicago alt.metal titans Disturbed have unveiled a new cover of the Sting classic, If I Ever Lose My Faith In You.

“We have loved this song for a long time, and even though it was released in 1993, it seems strangely applicable to today’s world,” the band say.

“The song is about losing faith, and might initially sound pessimistic, but it’s about the importance and power of personal relationships, and how they can save you and provide solace in an increasingly confusing world.”

As well as unveiling their latest cover, Disturbed have also been working on new material in lockdown; back in June, frontman David Draiman revealed that he’s been “messing around a little bit” with fresh material.

“[I’ve been] having conversations with the other guys in Disturbed about getting some new material going, and we’ve got some stuff in its infancy,” he said, adding that the band have, “One song, definitely, that’s killer in our back pocket; we just haven’t tracked it. And we’ve got a few more song ideas, [but] nothing that’s been hashed out enough.”
