Code Orange Announce U.S. Tour With Jesus Piece, Show Me The Body, and More
Show Me The Body, Jesus Piece, Year Of The Knife, and Machine Girl will join Code Orange on this huge tour.
It looks like Code Orange are continuing their twin campaigns of both being one of the heaviest bands on the planet and championing other forces of sonic destruction around the country. Not only did the band recently announce their new album Underneath alongside a crushing new video, but now they've announced a U.S. tour with some of the heaviest bands in the world.
Playing with Code Orange on what they're calling the underneaththeskin_TOUR will be Jesus Piece, Show Me The Body, Year Of The Knife and Machine Girl. The trek kicks off in Boston and makes its way on a loop out west and then back up to Michigan. Interestingly enough, there's no New York City show included in the dates as listed.

Code Orange and frontman Jami Morgan certainly plans to go hard in the paint this year, telling Kerrang! in an interview that he thinks the band's new album will be more relevant than anything else in rock or metal this year.
“We want to grow and do things that bands from our world haven’t been afforded the opportunity to, which we have scratched and clawed our way to do so far – like Coachella."
“I think in rock and metal there’s a lot of great stuff, but there’s not a ton of stuff that feels super-relevant," he continued. "I think a lot of older stuff feels more relevant now than some current stuff coming out...I’m not saying that about hardcore or extreme music, but in terms of something that cracks the surface – which I intend on doing – I don’t feel like there’s anything incredibly relevant in a way that’s not just trying to be a see-through cash-in attempt to co-opt what’s cool. This record isn’t that, but it’s more relevant than anything that’s coming out in rock and metal this year. Period.”
