Clown to miss the rest of this month’s Slipknot shows due to wife’s health
Slipknot’s Clown thanks fans as he returns home from tour to be with his wife.
Clown has announced that he will miss the remainder of Slipknot's June dates, as he will be returning home due to his wife's medical situation.
The ’Knot’s percussionist departed the European tour earlier this month but returning just in time to headline the Sunday of Download Festival, but in a statement posted on the band's Twitter account, he says he will be away from the road until July.
"Unfortunately I had to return back home to be with my wife due to her medical situation," reads the statement. "Thank you for the overwhelming support for the few shows I was able to make. I’m so sorry for missing the remainder of these shows, I was really looking forward to being there. As always, I’m so gracious for your overwhelming support for our family. I will be seeing you all at our shows in July. See you soon and hail Slipknot."
Slipknot are due to headline Hellfest in Clisson, France, tonight (June 18) and will perform two headline shows in Germany on June 20 (Hamburg) and June 21 (Berlin).
In July, they will play Rock Fest in Wisconsin on July 14 and Inkcarceration Festival in Ohio on July 16.
Kerrang! would like to send our love to Clown and his wife at this time.
