Chubby And The Gang signs to hardcore label Flatspot, releases new single
London punk Charlie Manning – aka Chubby And The Gang – has announced that he’s joined the brilliant Flatspot, and has shared his first single for the hardcore label.
Ahead of the label’s two-night takeover in London this weekend, Chubby And The Gang has announced that he’s signed with hardcore label Flatspot.
The London punk – real name Charlie Manning – joins the likes of Scowl, Speed and GEL to kick on with the next chapter of his career, following a monumental five years that has seen Chubby… play 65 shows throughout the UK already.
Last year we chatted with Flatspot co-owners Che Figueroa and Ricky Singh about their ethos and how they operate, with Ricky enthusing, “I hope that people can look at the label as a trustworthy source of great music. That’s really all we could ask for and I think we’re very picky about who we work with. It’s not a numbers game, or a quantity game. I think when you start meeting some of the bands, you get a sense of them. Sometimes I’m not thinking of signing a whole band, it's like signing some people that I believe in.”
