Cassyette is already writing new music
After breaking into the Top 40 with her debut album last month, Cassyette is already making new music, but is also careful not to overthink it…
Having only just released her debut album, This World Fucking Sucks, nu-gen prodigy Cassyette is already eyeing up her next creative moves.
Speaking on this week's episode of Kerrang! In Conversation, powered by KILLSTAR, Cass explains that although she doesn't put too much stock in trying to manifest things, she's already working on new music that may – or may not – be another full-length record.
"I know people have a lot of goals, but I’m just happy to be here, and I want to keep going," she says. "I want to tour more, I want to play in front of more people, I hope more people hear the music. And I just want to write another album, to be honest. I’ve started writing something but I don’t know what it will be. I’ve started writing new music.
"I try not to overthink. I get hung up on the ‘life is too short’ thing, so if I start overthinking the future and overplanning it, it freaks me out, because you can’t. You can’t have things that you want to do. I like having things that seem feasible to me. And what seems feasible to me is playing to more people and releasing more music. And if anything else happens on the way it’s just a bonus!"
Elsewhere on the podcast, Cassyette discusses losing her father, the addiction spiral that followed, and how she came out stronger on the other side. And so much more.
