Avril Lavigne confirms 2022 UK and European tour dates

Having had to postpone the original live dates due to the pandemic, Avril Lavigne has now confirmed a 2022 return to the UK and Europe.

Originally scheduled to happen in support of her 2019 album Head Above Water, the Canadian pop-rock superstar will now be crossing the pond in February and March next year for 19 shows – including four in the UK (three in London and one in Manchester).

"Fuck yeah, I’m going on tour!" Avril announces. "Here are the Europe / UK dates."

Of course, while Avril hasn't yet had the chance to properly perform Head Above Water material overseas, it'll be interesting to see if there's any new music that arrives before this tour. In February this year, she confirmed that her upcoming pop-punk album was finished: "It’s done!" she wrote to a fan. "Music coming soon." Before then, Avril had been in the studio with MOD SUN, John Feldmann and Machine Gun Kelly.
