As It Is are officially back: “There’s still some spark in us yet”
“See you in 2025”: Patty Walters, Ben Langford-Biss, Patrick Foley and Alistair Testo are back together again as As It Is…
It’s been almost nine months since frontman Patty Walters essentially announced that As It Is were on hiatus, with music not sitting “at the forefront” of his life in January. Since then, though, something massive has changed…
The singer has revealed that he’s back with his old bandmates – guitarist/co-vocalist Ben Langford-Biss, drummer Patrick Foley and bassist Alistair Testo – with the quartet having not all officially been together since 2019 (their last collective recorded effort was 2018’s The Great Depression album).
Unveiling their comeback, a statement reads:
“Through over a decade’s worth of ups and downs we had each other, and we’re back to celebrate that with you. There’s still some spark in us yet.
“There will be more to come over the coming weeks but for now, thank you for sticking by us through thick and thin whilst we work out how to preserve the life and the spirit of this band that means so much to so many people. We wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you.
“See you in 2025.”
