AFI are teasing a new single for this Friday
Listen to a snippet of AFI's new single, due out on January 15 via Rise Records.
After confirming at the start of the year that they'd be releasing their 11th album in 2021, AFI are wasting no time in getting new music to fans: the Californian hardcore punks have announced that a single is arriving this Friday, January 15.
The band are yet to confirm its title, but a very promising nine-second snippet can be heard below. Announcing that the follow-up to The Blood Album was on the way, AFI said, “With the end of a year that has been, at best, challenging for all, we have news that we hope may bring you some joy. Very soon, new songs shall be yours. Before the year’s end, our 11th album will follow.

“We could not be more happy with our latest work and hope you will feel the same. Thank you for joining us upon this next journey. We are thrilled to take it and honoured to have you at our side.”
Speaking to Kerrang! last April, AFI’s Jade Puget revealed: “We’ve been working on a new record. Davey [Havok, vocals] and I sat down for a long time putting together the song list for it, and it’s really exciting. I’m excited for people to hear it and see what the reaction is. It’s an eclectic record, and I’d much rather put something out there that’s a little bit left-of-centre rather than try to do something that’s expected.”
