“A two-hour set feat. songs from every album”: You Me At Six confirm final Australian tour
With UK dates still to be announced, You Me At Six have revealed they’ll be going down under next January for a final tour of Australia…
You Me At Six have just announced details of their final Australian tour.
The band will be joined by Holding Absence for their last-ever headline run down under, which kicks off in Brisbane and then sees them head to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and finally Perth. Announcing these shows, YMA6 promise a “two-hour set featuring songs from every album”. “Thank you for all the love and support over 20 years,” they add. “We can’t wait to see you one last time.”
Of course, in the more immediate future we’ll get to see You Me At Six headline Slam Dunk Festival this month, and frontman Josh Franceschi also recently promised that May will be when we’ll find out about their final UK headline dates – so watch this space.
When we asked Josh about how they hope to wrap things up, he teased: “We’ve got a plan to play songs from every single album, and make it a real victory lap. And everyone feels like that. We’ve looked at the setlists and gone, ‘Cool – those five can stay, the rest is gonna be stuff we haven’t done for years. We want to have 40, 50 songs ready to go so that each night we can constantly mix it up and make it special.”
Slam Dunk Festival takes place at Hatfield Park and Leeds Temple Newsman on May 25 and 26 respectively. Get your tickets now.
