100 gecs confirm cancelled tour: “We’re physically and mentally worn out”
100 gecs have shared a statement announcing that 10,000 gecs tour 5 is cancelled, as they are “physically and mentally worn out”.
Last month, emails went out to fans announcing that 100 gecs’ upcoming UK and European tour was cancelled, and now the band have confirmed it publicly on social media.
In a short statement regarding their planned 10,000 gecs tour 5, the duo – Dylan Brady and Laura Les – share that they are “physically and mentally worn out” and won’t be making it over for the tour in October, but that they will “be back soon”.
“To our fans in Europe: we’re sorry to cancel our upcoming shows,” reads the statement, “but we’re physically and mentally worn out. We’ll be back soon.”
100 gecs had been due to kick things off in Berlin on October 8 and were going to wrap things up at the Manchester Academy on October 28, bringing their brilliant second album 10,000 gecs to our shores for the first time.
Currently it looks like a few dates in Australia, New Zealand and Japan this month will still be going ahead. 100 gecs were also announced as main support to Boygenius at the Hollywood Bowl on Halloween.
We’re wishing you all the best, Dylan and Laura!
