Sprints drop new single, Trickle Down: “It’s the frustration of a generation stuck in ‘wait mode’”
Fresh from their recent U.S. headline run, and with a big summer ahead, Sprints have somehow found the time to release new single Trickle Down…
“A dance punk classic, a constant in the tour van, and a cover we used to throw into festival sets for fun…” Listen to Sprints’ cover of Le Tigre’s Deceptacon.
Sprints have unveiled a cover of Le Tigre’s Deceptacon.
Following last year’s 5/5-rated second album All That Is Over, the Irish alt.rockers are kicking off their 2026 with a proper studio tribute to some riot grrrl legends – having already performed their killer rendition live.
“I’m not sure there’s a womxn in the world who plays guitar that hasn’t been inspired by Kathleen Hanna,” says Karla Chubb. “Deceptacon is a dance punk classic, a constant in the tour van, and a cover we used to throw into festival sets for fun.
“What better way to mark our return to the States and honour our love of U.S. punk than to release our little rendition of Deceptacon.”
