Travis Barker reveals he’s recorded two albums in the past two months
blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has been very busy in the studio since the band got back from tour…
Bassist Mark Hoppus has teased that blink-182 will drop two new tracks before their huge U.S. tour.
While we were all understandably bummed out to learn that blink-182's new record wouldn't be released this month, bassist Mark Hoppus has explained why that's the case – and also teased some very promising news.
Mark has revealed that the trio – completed by drummer Travis Barker and guitarist/vocalist Matt Skiba – haven't been able to stop writing new music, and therefore they keep adding songs to the follow-up to 2016's California.
"We keep writing more and more songs and the songs keep getting better and better," he tells Alt 98.7. "Originally I thought we were going to have an album out in June, but we keep adding more songs, so probably later on in the summer.
"Before we leave for tour there are at least two songs coming out – and as more songs get released, we’ll probably incorporate those into the set."
Given that the pop-punks' tour begins very soon (June 27 at Columbus' Nationwide Arena, to be precise), that means we'll be getting two brand-new tunes before the end of the month. Brilliant news!
